Maumee Valley Country Day School seeks an effective communicator, strategic thinker, and authentic, astute, and capable relationship builder. The Associate Director will be expected to professionally and effectively promote the school within the Northwest Ohio region and beyond. This position plays a pivotal role within our school community and is a member of a three-person team responsible for managing the school’s enrollment. In particular, the staff member is charged with community-building initiatives to attract, enroll, support, and retain students and families in alignment with our Mission and Vision. This position currently oversees PreK-8 enrollment, but the configuration of the team will be determined based on the skills and experience of the candidate selected. 
 
This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and collaborates closely with all school constituents, specifically the Lower and Middle Schools. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Pre-K through 8th recruitment, enrollment, and retention processes
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of Enrollment Management on building creative outreach strategies to develop essential relationships within the region
  • Lead new student enrollment, managing recruitment, campus tours, shadow days, interviews, testing, and enrollment processes for applicants PreK-8
  • Manage student records, ensuring that all required documents are complete, accurate, and up to date in the Blackbaud student information system
  • Drive strategy and collaborate with Division Heads, faculty, students, and parents on retention and transition plans
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Finance to assist families through the Flexible Tuition process. 
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing all recruitment events with an eye for personalized and unforgettable experiences for students and families 
  • Contribute to banding branding and marketing strategies
  • Meets performance goals established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning
  • Actively engages in personal and professional work in support of the school’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management

Required Credentials::
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in education, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience preferred
  • Independent school experience, especially in admissions, preferred
